Happy Birthday to a very dear friend

One of my very special friends, Diane, is celebrating her birthday on Sunday and I'm happy to say that the card I made for her as arrived in time for her special day.  I just wasn't sure with the Christmas mail that she would get it.  I posted it here, Melbourne, Australia a week and a half ago and she got it a day or so ago in South Carolina, USA.   When I made the card I wanted to show you all but just couldn't until I knew she had it.  Here it is.

It's about time!

When Rob and I went to our favourite coffee place yesterday we found out that our good friend, Donna, was seriously ill in hospital. She'd had some surgery and hemorrhaged during the procedure which ended up with her being in Intensive Care.
I've made this card which her daughter will it to take to Donna when she visits her.
This card has MY flowers on it. It's been a while since I've made my own creations and it did give my hands a beating... but it was so worth it. IT'S ABOUT TIME I got back to making my own flowers :)

Layered Rose

Another card made for Fatcats.  This card's flower is made from the Marianne Creatables Layered Rose die.  When made up I didn't quite like the centre as it was just open space.  Rather than put a stamen in there I used the smaller of the two Die-Namics Mini Roses and cut off the large petal in the centre.  I rolled that but didn't glue it until I put it in the flower... allowed it to unravel as much as needed then I took it out and added some thick glue to the centre and then put the small rose back.
Before making up the flower I used some cream chalks and put colour on the edges.. I did this as well to the centre rose bit as well.

Two special blogs

Hello dear friends..

Our eldest son Robert is a very fine Christian man.  He is so gifted and both he and his wife, Vanessa, are both Salvation Army Ministers.  They have dedicated their lives to serving the Lord and both my hubby and I are so very proud of them.  Rob is indeed gifted in his preaching and has two blogs where he reaches out to tell the world of our Saviour.
I have added links to his blogs on mine because even his mum needs inspiration and encouragement and I want nothing more than to share this with you all.
I know Rob would love it if you would visit his blogs and even become followers.
The blogs are called  EPHESIANSFOUR12  and LEADING FROM THE TRENCHES.
The links are on the right with other blogs I follow.
Here is Rob, Vanessa and our grandtwins, Adam & Rebekah

As we approach Christmas time it is my prayer that all over the world people will recognise and praise God for  "the REASON FOR THE SEASON"   Jesus Christ!

I love you all.    much love.... Angie

Peace on earth

Hello friends...
Here is a card I made today for my hubby's boss.  He wanted something special to give him and so I used that Marianne Creatable Church again.  It's a real challenge because it's so hard to know what to use in the background.
Hubby had input and all up it has come together well..... WELL, I hope!

I cut out two churches and before ahering the top one to the bottom, I put backing on the windows and cut around the door so it could be opened.  A little reminder that God's door is always open to us.

My latest card made for Fatcats Card Corner.

This was made using the Marianne Creatables Church, the Tree and I've used Mini Royal Roses.  I'm loving these die cut flowers especially at present with my hands being so sore.  I'm thinking I might send this one as a Christmas Card... do you think I would get away with it?
Here a Christmas card I did a little while ago...

Very simple but one I could send in a normal envelope.  I must admit, I've been thinking of putting some little white and silver flowers over the snowflake on the left... what are your thoughts on this?
It's not too late :)

I just finished making a card for the FatCats Card Corner gallery...

I've used a combination of dies to make up this card.. they are:
Border & Swirls Marianne Creatables dies LR 0116
Mini Royal Rose Die-namics Set
Craftables Rectangle Die 1202
Anja's Leaves 1 Creatables Dies LR0226
Small Exotic Butterfly #2 set of 3 dies 112
Two of the Swirl borders were joined to make the square and for the smaller square on top of that I cut a section out of the Rectangle to make that into the smaller square needed.

I put the layout onto a patterned background, then changed it to a plain background with a black border.

Cherry Blossom

A little while back I made some Cherry Blossom using the Memory Box Cherry Blossom die..
I used a twig out of my backyard as branch and some little Memory Box Leaves as well.  Here is an up close of the Cherry Blossom itself...
And here is the Card I made...  Can I just offer a word of warning if you are going to use a twig like I did...  DO NOT use one if your card is going overseas.  I made another card for a dear friend in the USA and never reached her.  My card was confiscated and destroyed by Customs.  I just didn't think when I used it... I did know that sending plants and like is not allowed but as I said... I just didn't think.  The one time I forgot to take a photo of my card... yes... this was that time.
Using the same die, I made these flowers as well.

As many of you will know, I have designed many flowers ... which I have made using punches, however, when I get to do the revision of my PENNY FLOWERS eBook covering using Die Cuts for doing our floral arrangements.  Doing some shaping and moulding of the flower dies that are around today, can make them look so much nicer and give a life like look.  Colouring your petals also gives them such a pretty appearance.

This is an easel card I made for a special friend a few months back.

Hello Everyone.
It’s been so long since I’ve updated my blog.  I feel so bad about that because I have such special followers. Over the past few months I've had some email from some of you and thought it was indeed time to update you on what has been happening with me. You have all been so loyal and I sure do appreciate it.
Firstly.. the main reason for my absence has been because I have this terrible case of Carpel Tunnel and my hands hurt so much.  In fact, I haven’t been able to do much craft at all and unfortunately it’s going to be a while until I can have the surgery to put it right.  I never knew what a debilitating problem this Carpel Tunnel can be.  In light of the fact that I am so poor I don’t have private medical, therefore I just have to wait for the public system to help me.  I’ve been advised that the waiting list for this is well over a year.  What can I say?  With my back problems what they are and I am still getting used to being on insulin for my Diabetes, it’s been a daily challenge to keep a positive look at life.   Anyway... there are so many other worse off than I am.

Now, what can I show you that I have been able to do?
I know this is going to sound like a contradiction but I have become part of the Design Team for Fatcats Card Corner... While my hands are sore, this is probably going to be like "therapy" for me and the good thing is that it will give me the "push" I have needed to put aside my sore hands and do what I love.
I'm going to show you some of the cards I have made for Kaaren at Fatcats along with a few others I've made for other reasons.  I wont describe each one.. I'm sure you will see what I've done without me having to do a dialogue. I'll show you a few cards and then in a few days I'll add some more...  Gosh... I don't want to overwhelm anyone with too many

I shall do my best to keep things up to date here.  Once again, thank you to all of you who have written to me... your support is very much appreciated.  As a way of showing you my appreciation, if any of you would like a copy of my eBook, PENNY FLOWERS, please email me privately at this email address:   angieandtshina@gmail.com     and I would be more than happy to send you a copy free of charge...  All you need to do is to mention you're one of my blog followers and quote the name of my darling little Duchess!

Much love and many hugs to you all,   Angie          and a big special MEIOWWWWW from the                                                                                          Imperial Duchess..... Fergie
